Emissions and costs of hydrogen products derived from natural gas: The new Low-Carbon Business Opportunity Analyser
Dear editors,
Hydrogen and its derivatives, such as methanol, ammonia and synthetic fuels, will be needed in future to transition industry towards low-emission production. There is currently a wide-ranging debate on how this transition should take shape. With this new interactive web tool, Oeko-Institut Consult GmbH has developed a product for Agora Industry that assesses the greenhouse gas emissions and production costs of various hydrogen-based products produced from natural gas in different countries. This provides a fact-based foundation for discussions on the use of blue hydrogen.
