STRATEC Biomedical Systems AG has concluded a cooperation agreement with DADE BEHRING MARBURG GmbH for a period of several years. Subject matter of this agreement is that STRATEC Biomedical Systems AG shall supply DADE BEHRING with customized automated analyzer systems for infectious disease diagnostics.
DADE BEHRING will market this system under the name 'BEP (r) 2000' together with its 'Enzygnost(r)'-reagents. Product launch for this new system will be early June 2000. Dade Behring expects to further strenghten its position in the infectiious disease market and expand into new market segments with this fully automated analyser.
With 1999 revenues of approximately $ 1.3 billion, Dade Behring is among the largest clinical diagnostics companies in the world, offering a wide range of products and systems for diagnostics testing.
This major order will strengthen STRATEC's reputation in the field of life sciences and diagnostics and its business outlook.
