"Notification of Voting Rights pursuant to sec. 21, 22 WpHG

On behalf of Columbia Wanger Asset Management, L.P., Chicago, IL, USA, we hereby give notice, pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG, that on 7 August 2008 the voting interest of Columbia Wanger Asset Management, L.P., in ElringKlinger AG, Max-Eyth-Straße 2, 72581 Dettingen / Erms, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounted to 3,03% of the voting rights [i.e., 1,747,000 shares with voting rights, out of 57,600,000 shares with voting rights outstanding (based on Bloomberg)] on this day.
3,03% (all) of the voting rights (1,747,000 voting rights) are attributable to us in accordance with sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6."
