- The Sealing inspection division wins major order from one of the world's largest makers of sealing rings
Basler AG has further extended its lead over the competition in the automatic quality inspection market within the rubber industry. With an order valued at 1.2 million marks, the Sealing Inspection division, founded in 1996, has acquired its largest single order ever. The contract involves BASLER VARIO systems and will have an impact on revenues in the second and third quarters. Other orders are being planned. High quality and safety feature O-ring seals will be inspected using the artificial vision systems Basler delivers. Such seals, for example, will later be used in brake systems, ABS systems or in aircraft. Such highly sensitive seals as these must pass intensely rigorous quality testing in order to assure the highest safety standards in their later use. The Sealing Inspection division's systems provide the guarantee for this. Sealing Inspection's current marketing success is founded on BASLER VARIO's modular concept, which in turn is geared to the needs of the industry. Diverse system varieties enable optimal adaptation to the respective test demands (e.g. industry quality or safety related quality). The recently introduced BASLER MICRO promises furthermore to be a great success for the inspection of mini O- rings (up to 5 mm in outside diameter). The Sealing Inspection division's market share is greater than 50 % and will become even larger thanks to the major order it just earned.
