Stuttgart, October 9, 2018 - MAHLE is an official partner and team sponsor of HWA RACELAB in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2018/2019, the world's first series for purely electric racing cars. This commitment underscores MAHLE's excellence in the area of e-mobility.

The fusion of experience and pioneering development is something MAHLE and HWA have in common: HWA is the most successful team in the history of the German Touring Masters (DTM) and a promising newcomer to Formula E. MAHLE plays a major role as a forerunner in efficient combustion engines and is an enabler and innovation driver in the area of e-mobility.

"Through our commitment to Formula E, we are also applying MAHLE's dual corporate strategy to motorsports. We want to offer sustainable solutions and innovations in the area of e-mobility," explains Dr. Jörg Stratmann, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of the MAHLE Group. MAHLE develops and produces solutions for electrically powered vehicles worldwide, with a broad product portfolio that covers the powertrain, thermal management, power electronics, filtration, and interior air conditioning.

MAHLE Motorsports has been a developer and systems partner on the international motorsports scene-including Formula 1, DTM, MotoGP, and NASCAR-for many decades. MAHLE is now continuing this success story with its entry into Formula E. "MAHLE Motorsports has been well known in the industry as a strong development partner since the very beginning of motorsports. We consider ourselves active drivers of innovation-at the highest level," states Fred Türk, Vice President MAHLE Motorsports.
