NorCom Information Technology AG is proud to report a successful start to the new millennium in the 1st quarter of 2000. The sharp rise in 1st quarter revenues of almost 90% over the year-ago quarter is proof that NorCom is on the right track with its product and corporate strategy. Revenues of EUR 4.6 million were in line with forecasts. IT-Security/Enterprise Networks contributed to total revenues by 65%. With a share of 35%, revenues generated by the still young E-Business Solution division more than tripled over the same quarter one year earlier.
Substantial swing in earnings
NorCom posted a profit of EUR 115,077 and earnings per share of EUR 0.01 in the 1st quarter of 2000. Investments primarily focused on building up sales and marketing activities as well as technological extensions to NorCom Global Security (NGS) for the integration with BEA and Novell products. In addition during the first three months of the year, a number of strategically important projects in the Security and E-Business divisions were gained giving NorCom access to the media industry amongst other things.
