PRO FORST Software will manage forestry operations
A trade and information system cut out for the needs of the forestry business
PRO DV Software AG (SCN 696780), the leading provider of spatial software solutions (SRM, Spatial Resource Management) in Germany, received a DEM 6 million order from the Ministry for Rural Affairs of Baden-Württemberg.
PRO DV currently launches a new, PRO FORST-based information system for the Ministry. The new system will thoroughly analyze all business processes and expectations are that with the help of this system DEM 800 millions worth of timber will be sold per year. At the same time, the integrated PRO DV solution will run all further forestry operations from production planning and management to controlling in the 163 forest authorities.
The Ministry for Rural Affairs has also placed add-on orders with PRO DV amounting to DEM 3 million, which will be executed until the end of 2001. In addition, a five-year service contract worth another DEM 3 million was concluded. Therefore, the total volume of the above described project amounts to DEM 10.9 million since 1999.
The placement of this order shows PRO DV's competence in providing and integrating spatial information solutions.
