SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, Alzenau, Germany, has announced unaudited consolidated sales of DM 340 million for FY 1999, an increase of 71 % over the DM 198 million reported for FY 1998. FY 1999 earnings were up even more sharply.
This rapid growth spanned all of the company's product lines. FY 1999 order receipts totaled more than DM 650 million. Closing backlog was a record DM 395 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter of FY 1999 reached DM 129 million, more than double the figure reported for the same period of FY 1998.This high sales growth rate will continue into FY 2000, driven largely by the current DVD-boom. The company received a large order for 30 DVD- production lines in November, 1999. Further orders for a total of 13 SPACELINE DVD-production lines were received from North-America and elsewhere in January. The worldwide DVD-market is expected to more than double this year.
Sales of CD-production lines are also still on the rise and setting new record highs. The company successfully introduced its STREAMLINE for CD-R-production during 1999.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is thus confident that its outstanding product portfolio and market leadership will allow it to extend its past average compounded annual growth rate of 50 % into fiscal year 2000.
