The Saarbrücken based CRM software and consulting firm listed on the German stock market, ORBIS AG, assumes a controlling interest in the SaNET GmbH thus strengthening it's position as an eCRM and eBusiness solution provider. ORBIS has now broadened its product palette with an innovative eLearning software solution. A similar synergy effect is being created in the newly formed eMedia segment as well.
ORBIS immediately acquires a managing role in SaNET with the purchase of a 55% controlling interest. SaNET GmbH was grounded in 1994 and presently employees 17 persons. In 1999 SaNET with a total of 8 employees achieved a total sales of 997 TDM with total earnings of -1TDM. SaNET primarily develops and sells web based training software. The intended target groups are, aside from learning institutions, companies who need to train in-house and mobile employees, customers and partners. Among the many features which makes this interactive internet based learning solution unique, is its ability to adjust its teaching style to a users abilities. The programming language of this software uses many of the same elements which artificial intelligence programs do and can be used internationally. The language versions German, English, and French are already available Spanish and Italian are being developed. A sample of the SaNET reference list includes, Peugeot Deutschland, RWE-DEA, Karlsberg Brewery as well as universities in Oldenburg, Potsdam and Saarbrücken. SaNET will assume the name ORBIS communications and is a subsidiary of the ORBIS AG.
