The Lenzing Group experienced an excellent development in the year 2000. Earnings before taxes and minority interest (EBT) went up from EUR 4 mill. for the previous year to EUR 65 mill., which is the best result obtained by the company in the course of its existence. For the EBITDA, a plus of 75% was achieved; it amounts to EUR 107 mill., which is an excellent development. Consolidated sales rose from EUR 550 mill. to EUR 664 mill. (+21%). The equity ratio is now 37% (previously: 32%). The outlook is very positive. From today's perspective, the Lenzing Group is expecting another good business year for 2001.
