With the takeover of the French Spring Technologies group, CENIT AG Systemhaus successfully continues its globalisation strategy. Only a few days after the announcement of the imminent acquisition of the L&H Consultants group in North America, with the takeover of Spring Technologies, CENIT is to become the dominant IT enterprise for implementing business processes with Web- based technologies. The great experience of the Spring Technologies group and the lead which the L&H Consultants group has in Internet know-how will be of benefit to the CENIT group as regards both market share and sales growth. It is planned that the Spring group will make a substantially positive contribution to CENIT group earnings already in 2000. CENIT's medium-term target as an IT consulting company to achieve sales of DM 1 billion in the tempestuously growing e-business market is thus consistently pursued.
The Paris-based Spring Technologies group with branches in the most important French industrial centres like Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes and Sochaux, is extremely well positioned in France. With over 150 IT and Web specialists, Spring made sales of EUR 15 million in 1999. With the acquisition of Spring Technologies S.A., CENIT plans an appreciable extension of its lead in the market for Internet infrastructure services - a sector with an aboveaverage growth rate. Spring's customers include such renowned names as Renault, Peugeot, Citroen and Aerospatiale. The innovative business sectors of the Spring Technologies group include the building up of markets for the automobile supplier industry, Webbased solutions for workflow and document management, and the know-how to build up and operate the most complex e- commerce infrastructures.
