Die Aufsichtsräte der Deutschen Lufthansa AG (Lufthansa) und Karstadt Quelle AG (Karstadt) haben einer Stärkung der Eigenkapitalbasis ihres Gemeinschaftsunternehmens C&N Touristic AG (C&N) zugestimmt. Lufthansa und Karstadt, die mit je 50 % an C&N beteiligt sind, werden C&N insgesamt ca. 750 Mio. EUR als Eigenkapital und Gesellschafterdarlehen zuführen. Damit wird C&N in die Lage versetzt, den Aktionären des britischen Reiseveranstalters Thomson Travel Group plc ein Übernahmeangebot zu unterbreiten. Weitere Informationen unter www.cn-touristic.de.

The supervisory boards of Deutsche Lufthansa AG(Lufthansa) and Karstadt Quelle AG (Karstadt) have approved to strengthen the equity base of their joint venture C&N Touristic AG (C&N). Lufthansa and Karstadt, who each hold 50% of C&N will inject a total of approximately EUR 750 mil. in shareholder equity and loans. This move would allow C&N to consider making an offer for Thomson Travel Group plc.
