euromicron AG has clearly exceeded its budgeted figures for operations in the first half of 2000. Compared to the same period last year, sales were up 42% to DM 169 million (1999: DM 119 million). The operating result showed an improvement in excess of 90 %. The company was thus able to finance the announced restructuring measures from existing company funds. This provides an excellent basis for the smooth implementation of the new corporate strategy announced by the Board of Management for September.
The detailed half yearly report, to be published on 21 August 2000, will contain a report on the restructuring projects currently being implemented and the half yearly figures.
