A Commitment to the Community: Koehler Group Sponsors Willstätt Fire Brigade Youth Outreach Program
- Donation to Willstätt junior firefighter program
- Koehler Group contributes to the development of tomorrow’s young talent
- Investment in future generations
The Koehler Group continues to be strongly dedicated to supporting young talent, and accordingly helped boost the Willstätt junior firefighter program with a donation of 1,000 euros recently. This, of course, is in line with a key component of the family business’ culture – assuming social responsibility.
Koehler Group contributes to the development of tomorrow’s young talent
“Fire brigades are absolutely indispensable to our communities, and we know that we can depend on them when it comes down to it. On top of that, and just like we do at our company, the Willstätt fire brigade relies extensively on its youth and young talent programs to train qualified personnel, which is why supporting them is so important to us,” says Koehler Group CEO Kai Furler.
Willstätt Fire Brigade Captain Christian Hetzel and Youth Development Officer Tobias Hirsch received the donation at the inauguration ceremony for the Koehler Group’s new site in Willstätt at the beginning of June. This gift will make it possible for the junior firefighter program to not only provide hands-on training with fire brigade vehicles and equipment and impart crucial knowledge regarding firefighting, assistance, and rescue operations, but also to organize summer camps, sleepovers, excursions, movie nights, and BBQ parties throughout the year. “We’re delighted with this Koehler Group donation, and will be using it to fund materials and training for our junior firefighting program,” said Tobias Hirsch as the symbolic check was presented.
Investment in future generations
Both the Koehler Group and the Willstätt fire brigade consider nurturing future generations to be a key component of what they do. Koehler attaches enormous importance to first-rate training and has accordingly launched its Koehler Group Campus in Willstätt, Germany. This technical training center with an area of over 3,000 square meters offers five times as much space as the group’s previous training workshop and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The Koehler Group invested extensively in building the training center, where 42 young individuals will be acquiring the basic skills required for careers in electronics, industrial mechanics, and mechatronics.
