  • “Koehler Group Campus” for general technical training already inaugurated last year in Willstätt

Koehler Paper is now building a state-of-the-art center for papermaking-specific training. This new “Koehler Paper Campus” will start classes beginning in September 2025, just in time for the start of the new training year. With this upgrade, Koehler is creating an additional site for learning, networking, and providing young talent with training and support – all right next to the company’s paper production operations at its headquarters in Oberkirch.

Future-oriented training covering everything to do with paper

The new training center will be used to train paper technologist apprentices and machine and system operator apprentices, as well as dual-study program students getting a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Science and Technology. This comprehensive technical training will be complemented by basic manual skills (such as traditional papermaking) related to the company’s very core: paper. The campus is being extensively upgraded for this purpose, with Koehler investing in new technical equipment in a targeted manner in order to create a future-proof learning environment that combines theory and practice in an optimal manner.

“With our ‘Koehler Paper Campus,” we’re not only investing in new premises and cutting-edge technology, but also, and above all, in our apprentices and the future of our industry,” says Koehler Group Corporate Director of HR & Legal Department Elke Renz. “Paper is at the center of everything we do – and at the center of everything that the campus will stand for: enthusiasm for the material, in-depth understanding of all technical aspects, and hands-on realistic learning from the get-go.”

Training: The key to a successful future

With this new training center, the BEST PLACE TO LEARN®-certified company is sending a strong signal regarding its commitment to nurturing skilled workers and providing top-quality training. Its “Koehler Group Campus” at the new company site in Willstätt – a training center focusing on general technical training – was already inaugurated later year. Now, with the “Koehler Paper Campus” in Oberkirch, the company’s next investment in recruitment and training for young talent is taking shape.
