va-Q-tec's Founder and CEO is awarded Entrepreneur of the Year
Würzburg, October 28th, 2019. va-Q-tec AG, the pioneer in highly efficient vacuum insulation products and solutions in the thermal insulation and TempChain logistics is proud to announce that the company's founder and CEO is recognized for two renowned competitions as Entrepreneur of the Year. Dr. Joachim Kuhn became the German national winner of the European Business Awards (EBA) in the category "Entrepreneur of the Year" and is honored as finalist in the category "Industry" of the "EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019" competition from the audit and consulting firm Ernst&Young.
Over 120,000 businesses and individuals from 33 countries participated in the world's largest and most prestigious business competition EBA. The national winners were selected by a panel of independent judges including business leaders, politicians and academics. Dr. Joachim Kuhn will now go on to represent Germany at a ceremony in December in Warsaw, Poland to compete for the overall winner in Europe. This award also marks a great achievement for va-Q-tec, as it is the 50th award the company has received since it was founded.

Ernst&Young selects, for the 23rd time, the most outstanding leaders and owner-managed companies in Germany. Hundreds of businesses and individuals participated in the competition "EY Entrepreneur of the Year", 38 companies made it to the final and 5 in the category "Industry". This business award honors entrepreneurship, innovation and personal commitment. The finalists were announced at a festive gala with 900 guests in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany moderated by the famous anchorwoman Judith Rakers.
Being recognized for these two prestigious business competitions, founder and CEO Dr. Joachim Kuhn expressed: "I am very proud of where we are today with va-Q-tec, and to be acknowledged among thousands of businesses is a huge compliment to what we are doing. In the following the National Winners from each country has faced further judging in their chosen category. The final Category Winners will be announced at the European Business Awards Gala Final in Warsaw, Poland in December 2019.
