va-Q-tec receives awards for growth and innovative strength

Würzburg, October 21st, 2019. va-Q-tec AG, pioneer in highly efficient products and solutions in the thermal insulation and TempChain logistics receives two awards from Germany's leading business magazines. The Focus Business Magazine honors the company as growth champion for the third time in a row. This makes va-Q-tec one of the fastest growing companies in Germany between 2015 and 2018. In addition, WirtschaftsWoche has published its annual ranking of Germany's most innovative companies. On this list, va-Q-tec is ranked second slightly behind the winner.
The Focus Business Magazine selected the growth champions in cooperation with the Hamburg Institute Statista from around 2 million companies. The competition was open to both privately owned and listed companies. Further criteria for the award are dedicated minimum sales (e.g. 100,000 euros in 2015 and 1.8 million euros in 2018), a headquarters in Germany, organic growth and the status as an independent company. va-Q-tec has achieved an average growth of 31% in the competition period and became eleventh in the category "Manufacturing (excluding automotive, mechanical engineering and plant construction)". If the absolute sales growth were taken into account, va-Q-tec would even have won the category.
On behalf of WirtschaftsWoche Munich Strategy analyzed the innovative strength of 3500 medium-sized enterprises for the sixth time this year. An innovation score was calculated for the shortlist of 400 companies. One third of this score results from the development of turnover and profits and two thirds from the innovative strength of the medium-sized enterprises. With an innovation score of 225, va-Q-tec achieved second place in the final ranking of 100 companies. The company was able to assert itself against renowned competitors with in some cases significantly higher annual sales.
