New Leadership Team at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG takes up work

A newly created team under the leadership of CEO Mark Dekan will from now on steer the development and implementation of strategy at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG. The team is made up of top managers from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Serbia, each holding distinct responsibilities. The introduction of this new market-centric organization aims at interlinking local operations with the overall strategy of the Group.

The introduction of the Ringier Axel Springer Leadership Team is part of a concept by CEO Mark Dekan for further developing the company. Besides Mark Dekan, the team consists of:

   - Alek Kutela, CEO Grupa Onet.pl in Poland, responsible for data 
     and video 
   - Jozsef Bayer, CEO Ringier Axel Springer Hungary, responsible for
     print publishing 
   - Jovan Protic, Group Director Digital Publishing and COO Grupa 
     Onet-Ringier Axel Springer Poland, responsible for digital 
     content business 
   - Milan Dubec, CEO Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and Azet, 
    responsible for transactional and classifieds business

Mark Dekan, CEO Ringier Axel Springer Media AG: "We want to extend our position as the leading digital publishing company in Central and Eastern Europe. By introducing the Leadership Team, we are strengthening the role of our four markets in the development and implementation of Group strategy. I am looking forward to working together with the team members, who are all experts in their respective fields."

The headquarters of Ringier Axel Springer Media - from now on called "International Office" - has also been strengthened through new appointments in recent weeks. New to the team are Elena Jasvoin as Group Director Finance and M&A, Monika Remiszewska as Group Director People and Development, and Ralph Werner as new Group Director Ad Sales Development. They are joining Alexandra Delvenakiotis, Group Director Communications and Public Affairs, Marek Kowal, Group Director Data, Helmut Krasnik, Group CIO, Franz Kury, Group Director Transactional and Classifieds, as well as Sabina Lipska, Group Director Video and Adam Wilk, Group Director Print, who now will assume a group-role.
