Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer Vacuum pursuant to article 21 section 1 WpHG (German Securities Trading Act) that the percentage of their voting rights in our company fell below the threshold of 10 % on February 18, 2011 and on that day amounted to 9.61 % (equalling 947,809 voting rights). These voting rights are attributed to Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, pursuant to article 22 section 1 sentence 1 nr. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG. Of the following shareholders the voting rights are attributed to the notifier: First Eagle Global Fund (6.65 % resp. 655,805) and First Eagle Overseas Fund (2,40 % resp. 236,919 voting rights).
