DEAG is to organize U2 tour with SFX + increases turnover forecast to DM680 mil. DEAG subsidiary coco Tours has been entrusted by the U.S. live entertainment corporation SFX with arranging the German tour of the most successful Irish rock band U2. In view of the ongoing positive business trend in musicals and theatres especially in the Artists & Tours segment, DEAG has increased its turnover forecast for 2001 to DM680 million (2000: DM505 million). Tours concluded in the first quarter of 2001 in particular, featuring Andre Rieu, Udo Jürgens, Papa Roach and Eric Clapton, went better than planned. The highly successful start to advance bookings for new coco Tours and Entertainment One tours starring Status Quo, AC/DC, Eros Ramazzotti, Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue, Guns N Roses, Peter Maffay, Bon Jovi and Sting, plus a sensational new start of the musical CATS in Stuttart as well as steadily increasing sales by STELLA Entertainment, indicate that DEAG will successfully boost its business in 2001, posting above-average organic growth.
