On the basis of preliminary figures for the financial year 2000, DEAG reports three-digit turnover growth with revenues totalling DM 505 million. That corresponds to an increase of more than 190% on the year (1999: DM 160.9 million). The turnover forecast by the company and the results that analysts expected were achieved in full the 10th quarter in sequence.
Earnings before interest, tax and depreciation (EBITDA) amounted to DM 33.2 million, so despite the cost of restructuring STELLA Entertainment AG (about DM 7 million) in the year 2000, EBITDA increased two and a half-fold as well.
The fourth quarter in particular, traditionally a strong one, testifies to outstanding growth and confirms expectations for 2001 amounting to turnover of DM 650 million, EBITDA of DM 45 million and earnings per share of DM 1.95. The detailed financial statement for 2000 will be published as announced on 29 March 2001.
