TELES takes over IT Training Center SPC as Basis for TELES Internet Qualification Initiative
TELES AG Berlin has acquired 91 percent of the SPC Group. Berlin, which specializes In IT training and qualification. The SPC Group is the leading IT training and qualification center in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. With this acquisition, TELES has laid the foundation for the TELES Internet Qualification Initiative. The acquisition is still subject to supervisory board approval.
The SPC Group, which has a large training center on the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, is an authorized training center for Microsoft, Novell, Lotus, SCO, Seagate, and other system houses. SPC offers all important qualification programs for Office PC users, for IT system administrators as well as developers of new software systems. In these areas SPC offers accredited certification courses. The customers of SPC consist of small as well as larger companies, government agencies, administrative offices, as well as scientific institutions.
In 1999 the SPC Group reached revenues of 7,5 million DM and a net profit of 300,000 DM. The previous core business of the SPC Group will further exist as an independent business area. This area will be managed by the company founder and Managing Director Hermann Messner.
