Allianz Global Investors Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt, Germany, notified MEDION AG on May 26, 2011 pursuant to section 21 (1) sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that their share of the voting rights in MEDION AG, Am Zehnthof 77, 45307 Essen, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 3 percent on May 25, 2011 and with effect from this date amounts to 3.02 percent of the total voting rights in MEDION AG (this equates to 1,461,848 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights).
Of Allianz Global Investors Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt, Gemany, share of the voting rights, 0.03 percent of the total voting rights in MEDION AG (this equates to 15,348 out of a total of 48,418,400 voting rights) are attributable pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 number 6 WpHG.
No voting rights have been acquired within the meaning of section 17 (1) number 7 of the German Securities Trading Reporting and Insider Register Ordinance (WpAIV).
