Erste Indizes für das abgelaufene Geschäftsjahr 2000 lassen für die CENIT AG Systemhaus-Gruppe erkennen, dass der geplante Umsatz von 120 Millionen EURO (Vorjahr 1999: 79,5 Mio. EURO) erreicht wird. Dies bedeutet eine erneute Umsatzsteigerung um fast 40 Prozent. Auch im Auftragseingang konnte ein Zuwachs von ca. 40 Prozent verzeichnet werden. Das operative Ergebnis 2000 beläuft sich auf ca. 2,3 Millionen EURO (1999:EBITA 5,7 Mio. Euro). Das Ergebnis pro Aktie wird deutlich positiv sein. Gründe für die Belastung des Ergebnisses liegen insbesondere in den Aufwendungen für den Ausbau der internationalen Aktivitäten, die durch die erfolgreichen Akquisitionen in Nordamerika, Frankreich und England vollzogen wurden. Diese Aufwendungen sind als einmaliger Effekt zu beurteilen. Die Ergebnisrelation der vergangenen Jahre soll in 2001 wieder erreicht werden. Zudem sind wichtige strategische Investitionen in den Zukunftsmarkt m-commerce getätigt worden, und in Folge der weltweiten Vertriebsvereinbarung mit SAP wurde ein SAP/PLM Integration Kompetenzcenter aufgebaut. Gleichzeitig wurde im Geschäftsjahr 2000 die Mitarbeiterzahl (Vorjahr 1999:440) um mehr als 95 Prozent gesteigert. CENIT beschäftigt heute ca. 870 Mitarbeiter weltweit.
Der Geschäftsverlauf in Deutschland war sehr erfolgreich und konnte gute Gewinne verzeichnen. Das operative Ergebnis in Deutschland liegt bei 4,2 Millionen EURO. Frankreich und Nordamerika verliefen im Rahmen der Planungen. Vor besonderen Herausforderungen steht CENIT jedoch in UK und in der Schweiz, die, wie bereits im 9 Monatsbericht 2000 angekündigt, das Ergebnis belasten. Dennoch sehen wir gerade in der starken Internationalisierung unseres Unternehmens im abgelaufenen Geschäftsjahr unseren Erfolg für die Zukunft gesichert. CENIT ist es gelungen, sinnvolle und vor allem starke, in ihrem Heimatmarkt gut etablierte, Unternehmen zu erwerben, die CENIT zukünftig als erfolgreiche Plattformen mit gesundem Wachstum zur Verfügung stehen. .............................

Stuttgart, January 24th 2001 Initial figures for last year show that the CENIT AG Systemhaus Group 's sales will reach the target figure of EUR 120m (1999: EUR 79.5m) planned for fiscal 2000. This means another increase in sales of almost 40 per cent. There was also an increase of c. 40 per cent in orders received. For 2000, operating earnings amount to about EUR 2.3m (1999:EBITA EUR 5.7m). Earnings per share will be clearly positive. Earnings were squeezed in particular by expenditure on the expansion of international activities through the successful acquisitions made in North America, France and the UK. These expenses are a once-off phenomenon. The proportion of earnings of past years is to be achieved again in 2001. What is more, important strategic investments were made in the highly promising m commerce market, and following the world-wide marketing agreement with SAP, an SAP/PLM Integration Competence Centre was established. At the same time in 2000, the number of employees (1999:440) was raised by over 95 per cent. Today, CENIT employs about 870 people world-wide.
Business developed very successfully
in Germany and made good profits. Operating earnings in Germany amount to about EUR 4.2m. France and North America developed as planned. However, in the UK and Switzerland, CENIT is facing special challenges which put pressure on earnings, as already reported in the nine- month report 2000. Nevertheless, we see the extensive
internationalisation of our company which took place last year as securing our future success. CENIT has succeeded in making meaningful acquisitions of companies which are well established on their home markets which will be available to CENIT in future as successful platforms for healthy growth.
