According to provisional figures for the 2000 business year, the Lufthansa Group returned pre tax profits totalling more than 1.2 bn. Euro. The operating result increased by 44 per cent to 1.0 bn. Euro. The financial results declined by 251 mill Euro since the profit contribution by the AMADEUS Global Travel Distribution S.A. company did not match last year s level, which was inflated by one-time effects. Lufthansa share holders will benefit from the company s positive development. After the financial statements have been approved, the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board intend to propose to the Annual General Meeting a dividend of 0.60 Euro per share, seven per cent more than in the previous year.
The final figures for the 2000 business year will be disclosed by Lufthansa on April 27, 2001. The details will be available simultaneously on the Internet: www.lufthansa-financials.de.
