Intertainment completes capital increase
Intertainment AG (WKN 622 360), listed on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has successfully placed 2 million shares including greenshoe.The price of the Global Offering was set at Euro 57. Adiscount of Euro 3 per share will be granted to existing shareholders who exercised their subscription rights as well as for orders submitted on or before July 6, 2000. The offering, which was oversubscribed by one and a half times, was Lead-Managed by J.P.Morgan with DG Bank and Societe Generale as Co-Lead Managers.
The proceeds of the issue will enable Intertainment AG to expand its activities in the acquisition of worldwide and pan-European film rights and the financing of motion picture productions.
The success of the offering demonstrates Intertainment's strong position in the marketplace as a leading provider of motion picture content and confidence by investors worldwide in the high growth prospects of the company. The capital increase comes despite very tough market conditions, especially in the media sector, wherein several offerings in both the European and U.S. markets have either been scaled back or cancelled in recent months.
