Three members are set to return to the dpa supervisory board for three-year terms: David Brandstätter (Main-Post, Würzburg), Dr. Stephan Kolschen (Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlags-GmbH / Wilhelmshavener Zeitung, Wilhelmshaven) and Daniel Schöningh (Münchener Zeitungs-Verlag, München). Newly elected members who had previously been co-opted to the board include: Gerda Meuer of Deutsche Welle in Berlin and the board's Secretary and Johannes Werle (Rheinische Post Mediengruppe, Düsseldorf). Both reclaim their seats on the board following the 71st shareholders' meeting in Hamburg. David Brandstätter will continue as Chairman of the Board.

Hans-Dieter Hillmoth, of Radio/Tele FFH in Bad Vilbel, will be co-opted to the board now that his term is expiring. Meanwhile, Dr. Torsten Rossmann, of WeltN24 in Berlin, is set to leave the board. Christian Nienhaus of Axel Springer in Berlin will join the board as a co-opted member. Herbert Dachs of Stuttgarter Zeitung was also co-opted into the dpa supervisory board.

Along with Chairman David Brandstätter, the other members of the board's leadership include: Dr. Laurent Fischer (Nordbayerischer Kurier Zeitungsverlag, Bayreuth) and Valdo Lehari jr. (Reutlinger General-Anzeiger Verlags-GmbH, Reutlingen) as Deputy Chairmen and Gerda Meuer of Deutsche Welle in Berlin, as Secretary.
