ATRIUM TERMINATES TRUST AGREEMENTS WITH MEINL UNDER THE 2003 AND 2005 BONDS DUE TO IMPORTANT REASONS
Jersey, 1 February 2011. Atrium European Real Estate Limited ("Atrium") (VSE/ Euronext: ATRS) has declared the extraordinary termination of the Trust Agreements (each an "Agreement" and together the "Agreements") relating to the 2003 and 2005 listed bonds (namely AT0000496633, AT0000496641; AT0000492996, AT0000341789 and AT0000341797; the "Bonds" and each a "Bond") due to a number of important reasons which make it inappropriate for Atrium to continue the contractual relationship with Meinl Bank AG as the trustee under the Agreements. Unless otherwise instructed by Atrium, the termination for each Bond shall have effect as of the date on which all of the collateral under the respective Agreement which Meinl Bank currently holds as trustee in favour of the holders of the respective Bond has been validly transferred to a new trustee.
The situation for underlying holders of the Bonds remains unaffected and interest payments to them will continue to be made as usual by Atrium through the paying agent Deutsche Bank AG and subsequently via the Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG, which operates the clearing system for the Bonds. Holders of the underlying Bonds are invited to email ir@aere.com with any questions they may have and which Atrium will endeavour to answer as soon as possible.
