C-QUADRAT Investment AG plans to close its
Fundbrokerage business

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23.09.2011 In continuation of the strategy adopted by its management board of streamlining the company´s corporate structure with the goal of increasing its profitability, due to the changed economic and regulatory outline conditions C-QUADRAT Investment AG (ISIN AT0000613005) intends to discontinue its business activities in its Fundbrokerage division by the end of 2011 - subject to the consent of the company´s supervisory board, where required - in order to focus exclusively on its "asset management" core business segment. In addition, subject to a positive assessment the company intends to relinquish its license under the 2007 Austrian Securities Supervision Act (Wertpapieraufsichtsgesetz, WAG) for investment advice and brokering of financial instruments. The management board is convinced that the cost savings realizable through the discontinuation of this business division will in the medium term already compensate for or even exceed the loss of the declining income provided by the Fundbrokerage business.
