Home and garden tool manufacturer Einhell is marking the start of the 2022 garden season by presenting a number of new Power X-Change battery-operated machines for cordless lawn care. Alongside a 36 V lawn mower, the product range is being complemented by a combined scarifier and aerator, an earth auger and a hoe, all of which can be operated using the 18 V batteries of the Power X-Change platform.
Aeration cure for the lawn
Landau a. d. Isar, April 12, 2022 – Regular lawn care is an essential part of a beautiful garden. Experts recommend aerating the lawn, particularly in the early part of the year or in the fall, to get rid of weeds or moss. This promotes ventilation in the soil, enabling the sward to grow strongly the whole year through. In addition to a 36 V cordless scarifier, Einhell offers the new 18 V Power X-Change GC-SC 18/28 Li cordless scarifier for smaller lawns of up to 200 square meters in size. The scarifier is driven by a brushless electric motor which, in contrast to a conventional carbon brush motor, delivers more power and lasts longer. With 12 rotating blades that exert less stress on the lawn and a cutting width of 28 centimeters, the ball-bearing cutting unit works powerfully through the grass of the domestic garden. For the user’s comfort there are 3 working depth settings, a transport position, and a long handle that can be folded down and adjusted in height. A 20-liter catch basket and aerator roller are available separately as accessories.
Mulch as a natural fertilizer
Mulching is another of those regular tasks that are essential if the lawn is to be kept in good shape. Left lying on the grass, the cuttings serve as a natural fertilizer. The new GE-CM 36/48 Li M cordless lawn mower with mulching function and a cutting width of 48 centimeters is perfectly suitable for large areas as well. Wide wheels exert less stress on the lawn, and the high-wheeler has a robust sheet-steel chassis. The cutting height of the mulching mower can be adjusted axially in 6 steps from 30 to 75 millimeters. A side ejector kit can be attached as an optional extra. Additional battery slots (double twin-pack) prolong the running time. The folding, height-adjustable long handle comes with Softgrip.
Drill holes effortless with Power X-Change
The GP-EA 18/150 Li BL cordless earth auger allows the amateur gardener to dig holes for hedges, shrubs, trees or even fence points and foundations for swings, play towers, etc. The long-lasting brushless motor delivers power optimally to the thread, while the robust metal frame ensures maximum stability. Thanks to its 80-centimeter length, the earth auger reaches the frost depth required for foundations. The new member of the Power X-Change family can be set to any of three different modes. Counterclockwise mode allows the auger to be lifted up out of the soil again or released more easily from the hole. Clockwise operation in ECO mode is designed for light drilling tasks in soft ground, HIGH power mode for maximum force in hard ground. Battery technology makes the GP-EA 18/150 Li BL a quiet and eco-friendly alternative to petrol-driven models as well as more compact, maneuverable and easier to use.
Taking the effort out of digging
The new 18 V GE-CR 18/20 Li E hoe from Einhell offers cordless freedom for light and straightforward soil loosening tasks, removing much of the effort required when using a spade in vegetable or flower beds. The speed control gives extra flexibility, and the four robust metal cultivator blades ensure a long life. The grip position can be adjusted to suit with an additional handle, while the folding long handle allows space-saving storage. Einhell already has a 36 V (= 2x 18 V) model, and is adding the 18 V GE-CR 18/20 Li E to the product range.
