Right on cue for the cold season, tool and garden equipment manufacturer Einhell is expanding its range of automotive accessories with a new family of battery chargers. Five of them will be available from fall, the other two from early 2020. Two of the models also offer users a jump start function as 2-in-1 units.
Wide power spectrum of high-end chargers
Landau a. d. Isar, 10/29/2019 - Vehicle owners are always on the right side with a battery charger, because it is particularly at cold times of the year that batteries can discharge faster due to the low temperatures. A charger protects the battery of seasonal vehicles such as cabrios and two-wheelers too, though, preventing unpleasant surprises in the spring. Einhell offers five new microprocessor-controlled CE-BC 1 / 2 / 4 / 6 and 10 M battery chargers with current strengths of max. one to ten amps for gel, AGM, zero and low maintenance lead-acid batteries. Customers will find chargers with the appropriate current strength in Einhell's product range to suit the various battery capacities available on the market. The intelligent chargers come with the very latest technology, ensuring an optimal charge result and prolonging the life of the battery as much as possible.
Innovative charging technology for the toughest jobs
The integrated microprocessor control monitors the multi-stage charging cycle and adjusts it automatically. The electronic control system analyzes the connected battery and initiates the appropriate steps according to its status. The trickle charge function is a useful feature for seasonal vehicles in particular: it preserves the battery, prolongs the useful life and ensures that the vehicle is ready to start immediately in the spring. Already protected against dust and splash water, the chargers also have automatic protection against overcharging, short-circuit and swapped poles.
The useful LED battery voltage and charge status indicator shows the battery status and set mode at a glance. The battery terminals are fully insulated, so the charger can be connected safely and easily.
The CE-BC 1 battery charger is also suitable not only for 12 V batteries, but also for the 6 V batteries installed in older motorcycles, scooters and classic cars.
Since a greater charging voltage is required when outside temperatures are low, a special "winter charge mode" was developed for the CE-BC 2 / 4 / 6 and 10 M models. This automatically optimizes the battery charging process and prepares it for even cold days. The CE-BC 4 / 6 and 10 M versions also feature a power supply mode for continuous power supply when replacing the battery and a recondition mode for reactivating old and almost discharged batteries.
Simple jump start function for every eventuality
Alongside the innovative features and the conventional charging function, the two CE-BC 15 M and CE-BC 30 M battery chargers that Einhell is launching in early 2020 also come with an integrated jump start function. This allows the battery to be restarted quickly and without fuss. That gives the driver a certain level of security, because the charger ensures independence and flexibility if there is no other vehicle in the vicinity available for a jump start or no time for charging the battery conventionally.
In addition to the microprocessor-controlled and analog battery chargers, Einhell's automotive accessory range also includes reliable jump start cables, powerful jump start power banks and units for the care and maintenance of the vehicle, such as polishing machines, compressors, vacuums and even impact drivers forming part of the innovative Power X-Change battery platform.
