Bonn, 4. Januar 2022: Der weltweit führende Logistikkonzern Deutsche Post DHL Group verkauft die Rechte und das Know-how zur Produktion seiner StreetScooter-Elektrotransporter an das internationale Firmenkonsortium ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l. (Luxembourg). Der Verkauf umfasst das geistige Eigentum für die Fahrzeugmodelle D17 und D20 sowie die beiden hundertprozentigen Tochtergesellschaften in der Schweiz und in Japan. Darüber hinaus wird Deutsche Post DHL Group Minderheitseigentümer von ODIN.
Mit der Akquisition der StreetScooter Engineering GmbH wird ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l. als Hersteller der Elektrotransporter fungieren und beide StreetScooter Modelle (mit 8 bzw. 13 m3 Laderaum) weiter bauen. Die im Konzern verbleibende StreetScooter GmbH mit den bestehenden 300 Beschäftigten wird weiter als Zulieferer von Fahrzeugteilen und Batterien für den vom Konzern geplanten Ausbau der Flotte auf 21.500 StreetScooter agieren. Anschließend wird sich diese Gesellschaft ausschließlich auf die Wartung und Pflege der Bestandsflotte konzentrieren. Aktuell setzt der Konzern mehr als 17.000 der speziell für die Brief- und Paketzustellung entwickelten Elektrotransporter auf der letzten Meile ein und ist damit Betreiber der größten E-Flotte in Europa.
ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l. ist eine Finanzholding, die von mehreren institutionellen und privaten globalen Investmentpartnern unterstützt wird, darunter Sparta Capital Management in Großbritannien, ein großer chinesischer OEM und ein Partner für Auftragsfertigung in Nordamerika.

Deutsche Post DHL Group sells StreetScooter production rights to international consortium ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l.
Bonn, January 4, 2022: Deutsche Post DHL Group, the world's leading logistics group, is selling the rights and know-how for the production of its StreetScooter electric vehicles to the international consortium ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l. (Luxembourg). The deal includes the intellectual property for the D17 and D20 vehicle models as well as the two wholly owned subsidiaries in Switzerland and Japan. In addition, Deutsche Post DHL Group will become a minority shareholder in ODIN.
With the sale of StreetScooter Engineering GmbH, ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l. will become the official manufacturer of StreetScooter electric vehicles and continue to produce both StreetScooter models (offering 8 and 13 m3 of cargo space, respectively). StreetScooter GmbH, including its existing 300 employees, will continue to act as a supplier of vehicle parts and batteries for the Group's planned fleet expansion to 21,500 StreetScooters. Thereafter, StreetScooter GmbH will focus exclusively on servicing and maintaining the existing fleet. The Group currently operates more than 17,000 of the electric vehicles, which were developed specifically for last-mile mail and parcel delivery, and as such is the largest e-fleet operator in Europe.
ODIN Automotive S.à.r.l., a financial holding company, is backed by several institutional and private global investment partners, including Sparta Capital Management in the United Kingdom, a major Chinese OEM, and a partner for contract manufacturing in North America.
