Through its 100% Swiss subsidiary EDIFACT AG, caatoosee ag has now acquired a significant holding in Tectum Beratungsgesellschaft für Informationsverarbei- tung mbH (the Tectum consulting company for information processing) based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The 41.53% holding is backdated to October 1st and enables EDIFACT AG to take corporate control of Tectum GmbH.
The fact that caatoosee ag has acquired a stake in Tectum GmbH through EDIFACT AG reinforces the initial efforts of caatoosee ag to integrate on-line network platforms into the current ERP and legacy systems of various companies. Tectum GmbH will sell, distribute and implement integration products of EDIFACT AG on the German market in close cooperation with the Swiss ERP specialist.
Tectum GmbH was set up in 1980 and has acquired extensive know-how and experience in technological consulting as well as in business applications. With its 60 members of staff and a turnover of DEM 14.2m the company made an EBIT profit of DEM 0.5m in 1999. Tectum's clientbase includes Epson, Hitachi, Motorola and Siemens.
Martin Seith, Tectum's managing director, will continue to run, expand and integrate the company into the growing network of the caatoosee Group of companies.
