Beetz brothers film production appoints Georg Tschurtschenthaler to the management board
He joins Christian and Reinhardt Beetz on the management team
Berlin, October 8, 2025 – Renowned documentary production company beetz brothers film production has appointed Georg Tschurtschenthaler, previously Chief Creative Officer of the company, to its management team in Berlin, effective October 1, 2025. In his new role, Tschurtschenthaler will be responsible for the development and production of flagship and high-end productions, while Christian Beetz will focus more on the international market, IP exploitation, and high-revenue large-scale projects. Reinhardt Beetz will continue to manage the business at the Lüneburg location.
Georg Tschurtschenthaler is one of the most prominent media professionals in the non-fiction sector in the German-speaking territories. He has been awarded the German Television Award and twice the Grimme Award for his work and has also been nominated for an Emmy®Award and an International Emmy®Award. As a producer, writer, and director, he has played a key role in shaping the content of beetz brothers film production in recent years. In addition to award-winning documentaries such as THE CLEANERS (Grimme Award), ETERNAL YOU (Bavarian Film Award) and DANGEROUSLY CLOSE (Blauer Panther – TV & Streaming Award), he has made a name for himself in recent years as a showrunner in the high-end series sector. These include the first Netflix original documentary A PERFECT CRIME, REEPERBAHN SPECIAL UNIT 65 (ARD), JUAN CARLOS: DOWNFALL OF THE KING (Sky Original), CRIME SCENE BERLIN: NIGHTLIFE KILLER (Netflix Original), MAFIA HUNTERS (ARD), and the Amazon Prime Video series GERMAN COCAINE COWBOY, which won the German Television Award in 2025.

The ARD documentary THE KÜBLBÖCK-STORY –LANA KAISER also achieved over three million views in the ARD media library in its first two weeks.
