1) The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, informed us
pursuant to Sections 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG that their percentage holding of the
voting rights in K+S Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of 3% on
12.05.2011 and amounted to 3.69% (7,062,913 voting shares) on that day.

3.67% of the voting rights (7,030,737 voting shares) are attributable to The
Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, pursuant to Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1
No. 1 WpHG.

0.0168% of the voting rights (32,176 voting shares) are attributable to The
Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, pursuant to Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1
No. 6 in connection with Sentence 2 WpHG.

Voting rights that are attributed to The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc are
held via the following companies which are controlled by The Royal Bank of
Scotland Group plc and whose holding of voting rights amounts to 3% or more in
K+S Aktiengesellschaft: RFS Holdings B.V.; RBS Holdings N.V.; The Royal Bank of
Scotland N.V.

2) RFS Holdings B.V., Amsterdam, The Netherlands, informed us pursuant to
Sections 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG that their percentage holding of the voting rights
in K+S Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of 3% on 12.05.2011 and amounts
to 3.67% (7,030,737 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to RFS Holdings B.V., pursuant to
Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG.

Voting rights that are attributed to RFS Holdings B.V. are held via the
following companies which are controlled by RFS Holdings B.V. and whose holding
of voting rights amounts to 3% or more in K+S Aktiengesellschaft: RBS Holdings
N.V.; The Royal Bank of Scotland N.V.

3) RBS Holdings N.V., Amsterdam, The Netherlands, informed us pursuant to
Sections 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG that their percentage holding of the voting rights
in K+S Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of 3% on 12.05.2011 and amounts
to 3.67% (7,030,737 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to RBS Holdings N.V., pursuant to
Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG.
