Continuous innovation for increased sustainability:

Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik GmbH has received the ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications for exemplary management

More sustainable, more efficient and even more reliable - Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik is working towards these principles to continuously improve their processes and systems. The objective: generate innovation with economic sustainability. And the company has now been rewarded for their efforts: they have received the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 international certifications following a record audit time of just three months.

These standards are recognised across the globe and lay down the requirements for effective quality management (ISO 9001) and an environmental management system (ISO 14001). For customers, projects will become even more transparent: roles and responsibilities, as well as structures and work flows, must be regulated by and documented in process and procedural instructions, something which Greif-Velox had already implemented in their project management structures in the past, and with success.

"Gaining the ISO 9001/14001 certifications is the result of the Process Excellence Programme which we have been implementing for the past two years. This programme had the objective of streamlining our project management process and making it more professional," explained Ralf Drews, CEO at Greif-Velox.

Greif-Velox employs a six-stage project management process which allows the customer to gain a full insight into every single stage during the realisation of system projects - from design to installation. This makes it possible to generate a continual process of improvement, allowing an immediate response to customer requirements and potential deviations, whereby sustainable solutions can be instantly devised and implemented. In doing so, the Greif-Velox project team is also constantly integrating new measures for improved environmental protection, for example by fitting energy-efficient motors and using sustainable standard materials when building new products.

"Our project management process is the key to creating value," said Ralf Drews. "We strive for continuous systematic improvement throughout the entire process so that we can be efficient, reliable and flexible. We are particularly pleased about the feedback we have received on our quality assurance, which has become a benchmark for the industry thanks to our project management process."

By setting this benchmark, the international company Greif-Velox is continuing to grow. "Many of our international customers consider ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications as the basis for long-term collaborations," explained Sebastian Pohl, Director of Sales at Greif-Velox. "By taking this step, we have proven that we can look towards the future, working together with our customers to stay competitive on international markets."
