TePla AG is planning the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of PLASMA-finish GmbH, Schwedt. A corresponding letter of intent has been signed by both companies on January 20.
Market leader in plasma surface treatment
PLASMA-finish is one of the biggest suppliers in the niche market of plasma surface treatment. TePla can, as a result of this takeover, position itself as the market leader in this emerging market segment.
Takeover speeds up growth
Surface Technology offers a high growth potential, which in recent years helped PLASMA-finish to achieve strong gains in revenues. After increasing its annual turnover by an average of 40 percent, the company expects a turnover of 4.5 million marks in 2000. Based on this, TePla can thus more than double its turnover in the business unit Surface Technology. Further synergies are expected from the combination of development, production and marketing activities.
