LAMILUX: Awarded "Bayerns Best 50" for the fifth time
Acknowledgement for strong growth
For the fifth time now, the Rehau-based family business LAMILUX has been awarded one of the 50 fastest-growing medium-sized companies in Bavaria. At the official award ceremony in Schleißheim Castle, Minister of Economics Hubert Aiwanger presented the "Bayerns Best 50" award to the two managing directors Dr Dorothee and Dr Heinrich Strunz.
The prize, awarded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, recognises entrepreneurs who identify new opportunities for growth and employment and consistently implement them. As an excellent training company for young workers, a growing employer for skilled workers, LAMILUX is a growth driver for the Bavarian economy and, as a medium-sized family business, an important pillar for the German economy. The family-owned company has already been able to receive this honour in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2019 and now 2022.
One criterion of the "Bayerns Best 50" is the above-average increase in turnover and number of employees. Over the years 2017, 2020 until today, the number of employees at LAMILUX has increased from 895 to 1200 to more than 1250 employees today. In terms of turnover, the trend has also been steadily upwards so far: from 263 million euros in 2017 to 293 million euros in 2020 and 335 million euros in 2022.
Another decisive factor for the award: in-company training. Because this is central to the sustainable economic success of companies. At LAMILUX, the focus is on a unique, sustainability-oriented training concept called "Education for Excellence®". Its goal is to sustainably support the trainees - beyond the purely technical qualifications of their training - in their personal development and to make them strong for their professional and private lives. In addition to the multiple award-winning "Education for Excellence®" training concept, a training quota of about 8 percent as well as numerous prizes for corporate social commitment show that LAMILUX meets the high requirements of the award.
The 50 fastest-growing medium-sized companies were honoured with the "Bayerns Best 50" award on Tuesday, 26 July. "The award of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs honours us and motivates us to keep growing in the future, to always look for new ways to create jobs and to further strengthen the training and further education of skilled workers," Dr. Heinrich Strunz, Managing Partner of the LAMILUX Heinrich Strunz Group, is pleased to say.
