C atalysing Change – Smart CO₂-Solutions Wanted for the “Best CO₂ Utilisation 2024” Innovation Award

Innovators at the Forefront of Carbon Capture and Utilisation are Encouraged to Showcase Their Revolutionary Technologies and Products at the CO2-Based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2024

Submissions are open till 4 February 2024

After being deemed the main cause of climate change for many years, CO2 is increasingly gaining importance as a valuable feedstock for the chemicals and fuels industry. To recognise and motivate innovators in this field and to showcase innovative technologies and products, nova-Institute will present the “Best CO2 Utilisation 2024” award. The award is realised in cooperation with the innovation award sponsor Yncoris and the co-organiser CO2 Value Europe. The innovation award is one of the highlights of the CO₂-Based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2024, which will take place in Cologne, Germany, on 17-18 April 2024 and online.

An expert jury will select six nominees from all submissions while the winners will be elected by the conference audience in a live vote (17 April 2024). The deadline for applications is 4 February 2024.

Online applications can be submitted at https://co2-chemistry.eu/award-application/.

From Jet Fuels to Soap, From Shoe-Soles to Vodka – A Feedstock for All Industries

CO₂-based products show a current capacity of 1.3 million tonnes and are expected to at least quadruple by 2030. Applications range from materials that improve carbon capture to the production of proteins and CO2-based chemicals, fuels and building materials and prove that CCU innovations can open the road to transition away from fossil resources.

From CO2-based vodka, soap, and protein-rich products to incorporating CO2 into highly complex molecules using green electricity, former innovation award winners and nominees have proven that CCU technologies have no limits. However, the full potential of CCU innovations has yet to be discovered. The successful upscaling of available solutions has shown, that these innovations can produce large quantities of kerosene, fuels, platform chemicals and chemical building blocks from renewable carbon and hereby establish CO2 as a flexible feedstock of the future.

Abstract Submission, Registration, Exhibition and Sponsoring Opportunities

The Call for Abstracts is still open until 26 November 2023. Enterprises and research institutes interested in presenting their work in the field of CCU can submit their abstract here https://co2-chemistry.eu/call-for-abstracts/.

Registration for the conference on-site or online is available at https://co2-chemistry.eu/registration/.

The conference will be accompanied by a trade exhibition. The booking fee of a booth (6 m2) is € 1,400 (excl. 19 % VAT). One full entrance ticket to the conference is included. Exhibitors are welcome to use their own booth system. The booking can be made via www.co2-chemistry.eu/exhibition-booking.

A wide range of sponsorship opportunities offers participating companies maximum visibility and impact at the conference. For more information please visit https://co2-chemistry.eu/sponsoring/.
