London, 18 March 2008 - Air Berlin PLC announces that in connection with the acquisition of Condor Flugdienst GmbH by Air Berlin PLC, the German Bundeskartellamt (FederalCartel Office), with the approval of Thomas Cook and Air Berlin, has further extended the deadline for completion of its primary evaluation process by two months until 9 June 2008 as discussions among Air Berlin, Thomas Cook and the Federal Cartel Office case team regarding the acquisition are continuing.
