Order entry in the 4th quarter 2000 was up by 64% against the previous year - Turnover in the 4th quarter 2000 rose by 62% compared to the previous year - Forecast for the year greatly exceeded
Compared with the same period in the previous year, the 4th quarter 2000 showed continuing strong growth at SÜSS MicroTec AG. According to preliminary figures, order entry in the 4th quarter 2000 rose by more than 64% to 70 Mio. Euro. Turnover rose by over 62% to more than 53 Mio. Euro.
The preliminary figures for the year 2000 look just as impressive for the Munich-based semiconductor equipment supplier: Order entry for the whole year came to 230 Mio. Euro which was 119% more than the total in the previous year; the value of the orders on hand at the end of the year 2000 came to 118 Mio. Euro. Over the same period, turnover increased by 71% to 148 Mio. Euro compared to the year before. Thus, Süss was able to greatly exceed the turnover forecast of 140 Mio. Euro. The good turnover figures show up clearly in the results for the year 2000.
Due to the solid order situation and the very positive development in order entries, continued strong growth can also be expected for the year 2001. The company currently expects turnover in 2001 to be 210 Mio. Euro.
