- Operating Results increase tenfold - EBIT Margin up by nearly 20 % - Most successful year in the company history
Munich, 15th November 2000 - The Süss MicroTec AG's profit, turnover and order entry continue to grow apace. The company's operating results for the third quarter increased tenfold in comparison with the same period last year to DM 10.9 million. The result before deduction of interest and taxes even increased to DM 14.7 million compared to DM 0.9 million last year. Thus, the EBIT Margin rose to 19.7%. The company's post-tax profit increased to DM 5.9 million - nine times what it was in the same period last year. The profit per share rose to 22 cents, compared to under 3 cents a year ago. The final figures for turnover and order entry are virtually the same as the preliminary results published in October.
With the continuing high demand for Süss products, the management is looking very optimistically to the coming months. The year 2000 is going to be the most successful year thus far in the history of the Süss Group. The fourth quarter will make a significant contribution to this as a large part of the yearly turnover is traditionally made in this period. Süss does not foresee an end to the growth next year. The group benefits most of all from its worldwide leading position in the growth market Advanced Packaging.
