At Süss MicroTec AG growth in the fourth quarter has accelerated further. Provisional figures show orders up 150% to DM 87.7m. Turnover rose at the same time by 54% to DM 68.8m. The supplier to the semi-conductor industry is also announcing a clear growth rate for the whole of 1999: orders up at DM 216.1m, and so 58% above last year. Sales rose in the same period by 31% to DM 178.9m. So Suss has clearly beaten its own turnover forecast for 1999. No exact reasons can really be given for this outcome, but it is quite definite that the result for the year has turned out a clear positive.
