Adhoc Release in accordance with section 15 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG)
Berlin, 30 June 2008. Marseille-Kliniken AG (Prime Standard, ISIN DE 0007783003, MKA) has signed a sale-and-lease-back deal with a consortium of real estate investors, IMMAC Holding AG, Hamburg, as well as RP&C International / Public Service Properties Investments Ltd., London. Marseille-Kliniken AG has agreed a long-term lease for six care properties with a total of 567 beds with the investor consortium.
In total, the transaction has a volume of EUR 33.5 m and offers the company further financial scope to pursue its growth strategy in its core care business.
About 20% of Marseille-Kliniken AG´s portfolio consists of facilities it uses itself and about 80% which it has leased to other providers. The transaction will further reduce the company´s long-term financial debt.
The outlook for the financial year 2007/2008 dated 8 May 2008 is being confirmed. The company expects an annual turnover of EUR 233.5 m, an EBIT of EUR 24.0 m and a profit after tax of EUR 18.0 m.
