Board of Managing Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH expanded
Christiane Laibach appointed as new board member
Christian K Murach seconded to KfW for limited time

Frankfurt am Main (ots)

KfW Bankengruppe, as shareholder of KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, today appointed Christiane Laibach as a further Managing Director of KfW IPEX-Bank effective immediately. The Board of Managing Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank is thus being expanded from four to five members.

Most recently Ms Laibach served as Director of the Aviation Finance Department. An economist, the 46-year-old joined KfW in 1990. Following various positions within the Export and Project Finance Division as well as secondments to KfW Entwicklungsbank and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, she went on to serve as First Vice President of the Rail and Road Department for four years. In 2001 she was appointed Senior Vice President and took over as head of Aviation Finance. On the Board of Managing Directors she will initially be in charge of the business area managed by Mr Murach. This area includes the departments of Aviation, Shipping, Rail and Road, Ports, Airports, Real Estate, Construction Industry/PPP as well as Leveraged Finance/Mezzanine/Equity and Syndication and Treasury.

Christian K Murach will take a leave of absence from the Board of Managing Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank for an undefined period in order to serve the Board of Managing Directors of KfW Bankengruppe under special assignment. Afterwards Mr Murach will resume his work on the Board of Managing Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank. Other board members are Michael Ebert, Markus Scheer and Heinrich Heims (Speaker).
