With immediate effect Power X-Change, the rechargeable battery system for tools and garden equipment from Einhell, will also be providing power in the caravans in the “Sport” and “Südwind” ranges from Knaus Tabbert and “CaraCito” from Weinsberg. This marks a new field of application for the rechargeable battery packs from Einhell.
Freedom of cordless operation on your travels
Landau an der Isar, September 6, 2021 – “Our goal with Power X-Change is not only to have the best rechargeable battery system on the market for tools and garden equipment, but to further increase the potential applications for our customers. This is why we have opened up the Power X-Change system and now offer it to other companies as well,” explains Andreas Kroiss, Chairman of the Management Board of Einhell Germany AG.
The latest partner is renowned caravan and motorhome manufacturer Knaus Tabbert AG. With immediate effect, an overnight power system (the so-called “One Night Stand” system) will be added to the KNAUS caravan models SPORT and SÜDWIND and the WEINSBERG model CaraCito, at the heart of which are Power X-Change batteries from Einhell.
“I am delighted that we have been able to establish Knaus Tabbert as a new partner for our platform. We want to offer our customers the freedom of cordless operation not only when they are at home, but also when they are on their travels,” adds Kroiss. In the form of Power X-Change from Einhell, the recreational vehicle manufacturer can rely on the most competent rechargeable battery platform in the industry to deliver comprehensive power.
Mobile energy with Power X-Change
The caravan charger acts as both a power supply and a battery charger at the same time. In addition to providing an autonomous power supply for the necessary electrical consumers for the night, it can also be used to recharge Power X-Change battery packs with a charging voltage of 230 V, for example on a campsite: “This means that, when you get to your destination, you can simply take out the Power X-Change battery pack and use it in any of the currently over 200 tools available for the home or garden. No matter whether caravanners want to inflate tires or air mattresses with their cordless compressor or clean up with a cordless hand-held vacuum cleaner – everything works with a single Power X-Change battery pack. This not only saves time but also money, as additional tools and equipment can always be purchased later on without a battery and charger,” adds Einhell CEO Andreas Kroiss, explaining the potential range of applications for this technology.
Furthermore, the caravan charger with Power X-Change batteries is also significantly more cost effective than a conventional battery system with a heavyweight battery and charging system. As well as this, the Power X-Change battery packs are also widely available via DIY stores and online retailers. Depending on how customers use their caravan, this means that they can stock up on additional batteries as and when required.
Further advantages of the platform
As part of other partnerships, Einhell batteries are also already being used in areas such as swimming pools, camping, in the home, as well as for e-mobility applications. “Our focus is naturally on the range of tools and garden equipment offered by Einhell. However, on behalf of our customers we are constantly expanding the cordless platform Power X-Change. By 2025 we will be expanding the offering to 350 tools and devices,” adds Andreas Kroiss.
