Stiftung Warentest: Einhell cordless lawn mower honored as “best-in-class”

A huge success for Power X-Change: Stiftung Warentest, the German consumer testing champion, put the Einhell Cordless Lawn Mower GE-CM 36/36 Li through its paces in a comparison test with eight other cordless lawn mowers and awarded it best-in-class with an overall score of 2.0. The consumer experts also noted that “cordless is winning.” According to the latest edition of the consumer magazine “test” from Stiftung Warentest (edition 4/2021), “cordless mowers are practical, and several of them do a better job cutting medium-sized lawns than the best model with a cable.”
Rechargeable battery competence that really delivers
Landau an der Isar, March 25, 2021 – This test win is yet another endorsement for the rechargeable battery system Power X-Change. Already in November last year the 2.0 Ah battery pack from the Power X-Change family was awarded “best-in-class” in a comparison test in the consumer magazine “test” from Stiftung Warentest (edition 11/2020). Following on from a first “best-in-class” for an Einhell Power X-Change cordless lawn mower back in 2019 (edition 04/2019), this makes the GE-CM 36/36 Li the second Einhell cordless mower to receive this accolade from Stiftung Warentest (edition 04/2021) within a short space of time.
Einhell: “Very good” for durability, safety, and range
Cordless mowers are particularly practical for regular lawn care, as – in contrast to petrol-powered models – they are both near-silent and emissions-free, and with no electric cable to get in the way, they offer greater flexibility than corded electric models. In the current comparison test that has just been published by Stiftung Warentest, nine cordless lawn mowers with cutting widths from 33 to 42 cm were tested, along with six corded electric lawn mowers. The Einhell Cordless Lawn Mower GE-CM 36/36 Li (2x 4.0 Ah) impressed the testers and ended up best-in-class with an overall score of GOOD (2.0).
The areas of durability, safety and the range of the mower were all found to be “very good,” which is the highest score available. The cutting performance with dry, tall, and moist grass was good. The report also highlighted the wide adjustment range of the push handle and the short charging time of just 89 minutes for the rechargeable batteries.
The cordless mower is driven by a brushless electric motor. It has a 6-level central cutting height adjustment and a 3-way height-adjustable and folding long handle for comfortable mowing.
The fill level of the 40 liter grass collecting basket can also be checked via a display at any time. The unit is supplied with two 4.0 Ah battery packs and two chargers.
