intec presents ARGUS 145, the DSL combi-tester for SHDSL, ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, ISDN and POTS

This year at CeBIT intec GmbH proudly presents
its new DSL-combi-tester, ARGUS 145; a tester which supports an
extraordinarily broad spectrum of interfaces - ranging from ADSL2 to
ISDN all the way to POTS. True to intec's philosophy, this ARGUS is
an all in one device - with no need of module swapping. CeBIT
visitors will be able to see ARGUS 145's full range of functions
demonstrated live at the intec stand.

ARGUS 145 - the convenient DSL combi-tester

One for all: ARGUS 145 offers - in a single tester - all of the
measurement functions required for all of the common DSL accesses,
giving you support that fits in your hand for ADSL, ADSL2/2+ with
20MBit/s and even SHDSL. Furthermore, this tester also supports POTS,
U-interface and BRI accesses as well as 10/100BaseT Ethernet. 
With IP-PING and Trace Route functions as well as download tests
(http/ftp), ARGUS 145 is also well equipped for checking Internet
connections. In addition, the tester offers an Ethernet Through mode
as well as a Router Replacement mode with support for DHCP (Client
and Server). As is the case with all other ARGUS handheld testers,
all of these tests and functions are integrated into the device - so
you are spared the effort of exchanging modules and the time lost
while rebooting. Furthermore, ARGUS 145 is complete and does not
require the use of a PC to run any of its tests: The tester can set
up an Internet connection and run upload and download tests
independently.

The following lists just a few of ARGUS 145's many features:

-  a USB interface for faster data transfer between the tester and
      PC or notebook - for example when loading software updates or
      transferring the stored data from measurements made earlier
   -  a large (8 x 21 character) graphic display                     
   -  a substantial 32MB of data memory                              
   -  conveniently powered from the mains or standard accumulators.  
   -  individual configurations can be saved in profiles which can 
      then be conveniently called up again whenever needed

In October 2005, this multitalented tester was successfully
introduced to the market which - as is shown by the fact that several
large European customers immediately placed orders - greeted it
enthusiastically.

A broad spectrum of DSL and ISDN measurement technology

In addition to ARGUS 145, intec GmbH will of course also present
its extensive portfolio of DSL and ISDN test equipment at CeBIT -
ranging from multi-access testers for the discerning all the way to
entry-level testers for ADSL and/or ISDN accesses.

intec GmbH

intec GmbH has been engaged in the development of ISDN products
for more than seventeen years. Since 1998, intec has specialized in
the development and production of ISDN test equipment. It expanded
its range of products in the last three years to include ADSL
measurement equipment. The common thread over all these years has
been equipment clearly designed to support users in their day-to-day
work. Today, ARGUS testers and analyzers are not only used by many
German telecommunication companies such as Arcor, Deutsche Telekom,
ISIS in Düsseldorf and HanseNet in Hamburg, but also worldwide - for
example by Telefonica (the largest Spanish network operator) and
Telecom Austria.
