Changes to the executive management board and advisory board of the Brose Group

Coburg (26. February 2021). Andreas Jagl will assume responsibility for the Brose Group’s Interior business division effective 1 March 2021. Jagl succeeds Sandro Scharlibbe, who is leaving the company at his own request. Around 8,000 Interior business division employees at 24 locations in twelve countries develop and manufacture seat systems and components for over 50 automakers. The division expects its business volume of two billion euros (2019) to grow substantially over the next few years.

Andreas Jagl studied mechanical engineering at the Higher Federal Technical College in Saalfelden/Austria. He began his career in 1992 in disposition/logistics at vehicle manufacturer Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke. This was followed by leadership roles in Europe and the US at automotive suppliers Johnson Controls, Polytec Group and Adient, among others. Before joining Brose, Jagl was General Manager of Yanfeng Adient Seating. In his new role as Executive Vice President Interior at Brose, he will also be responsible for the East Asian market. Brose Group CEO Ulrich Schrickel will oversee sales at the group level.

Sandro Scharlibbe worked in a number of different positions during his 25-year career at Brose. Among other roles, the business economist was Executive Vice President Purchasing for six years, during which time he restructured the central division. Scharlibbe took over responsibility for the Interior business division in early 2018 and stabilized Brose’s seat business despite a difficult market environment. He broadened the product and customer portfolio and built strategic partnerships to pave the way for future growth.

“Sandro Scharlibbe’s foresight helped drive growth across departments and divisions in the Brose Group. On behalf of the shareholders, the advisory board and the executive management board, I thank him for his dedication and commitment to our family-owned company,” says Ulrich Schrickel.

Commenting on Andreas Jagl, Schrickel says: “We are pleased to welcome Andreas Jagl, an accomplished industry expert and specialist for seat and seat component business. He has in-depth knowledge of the highly competitive seat market along with experience in transformation in the automotive industry. His expertise will help him further strengthen the competitiveness of our Interior business division and push ahead with innovations for the vehicle interior of the future.”

Changes to the advisory board

There will also be a change in the advisory board of the Brose Group effective 1 March 2021. Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck will succeed Prof. Dr. Andreas Wiedemann. 45-year-old Goldbeck is Managing Director of Goldbeck GmbH.
