Less than 30 days left to apply – don’t miss your chance to access free cutting-edge cancer research services
The deadline for the 4th canSERV Open Call is approaching fast! There are less than 30 days remaining until the 15 July 2025 submission deadline for researchers to apply for free access to over 400 advanced oncology research services offered by some of Europe’s top-tier research infrastructures.
Through the EU-funded canSERV project, more than 400 advanced oncology research services and technologies are available to both European and international researchers, irrespective of career stage. These can be combined with training opportunities, helping scientists fast-track their research and bring novel insights closer to clinical impact.
Support for the full spectrum of c ancer research
Whether you are working in basic research, translational science, or clinical application, canSERV supports projects throughout the oncology pipeline. Researchers at all career stages - from early-career scientists to experienced clinicians - are invited to apply. This EU-funded project is designed to accelerate scientific breakthroughs and facilitate impactful results in cancer diagnostics, therapy, prevention and patient care.
In line with Europe´s Cancer Mission:
canSERV plays an integral role in advancing the objectives of the EU Cancer Mission and the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. Proposals should align with one or more of the following strategic areas:
- Understanding of cancer
- Prevention and early detection
- Diagnosis and treatment
- Quality of life for patients and their families
Wide range of services available
Researchers from academia, start-ups, micro, small and medium-sized biotech/ pharmaceutical SMEs, groups of scientists, networks and consortia may apply for several services including:
· Disease models · Advanced technologies for personalised oncology · Biomarkers research development and validation · New therapeutic solutions · Accelerated translation into personalised oncology clinical practice · Open digital research services · Access to human samples and data · Clinical trials and design · Ethical, legal and socio-economic dimensions · Training.
The services can be combined to meet the unique needs of your research project.
Key dates and details:
Call opened: 15 April 2025
Submission deadline: 15 July 2025 at 14.00 CEST
Budget: EUR 1.5 million
Proposals will undergo a fair and transparent evaluation by an independent expert panel. All selected services must be completed during the lifetime of the canSERV project (FAQ Section “Time frames for the service provision”).
